🏦📱Open Banking – From inside the bubble to double!
Bill Gates once said, “Banking is necessary, Banks are not”.
Everyone interprets #banking in their own way – today as a digital native I use #Monzo to buy a coffee, #HSBC to pay my electricity bills, and #Revolut to send money home.
To me as someone who has access to all of the world at a single mobile interface with Playstore, Appstore, Social Media powering every second of my awakened day. Why not Banking?
Can Monzo, HSBC, and my Revolut account talk to each other – of course, they can.
Open banking is not the best-kept secret anymore.
With 2 million active monthly users and growing strongly, people want to
– Exercise their rights over their data
– Engage more with their finances
– Get access to better products
as long as you make it simple and secure
This week’s #FINCUTS is my take on how in 2020 (catalyzed by COVID) my Bank(‘s) are finally OPENing to the world of possibilities and empowering me as a consumer with the right to access my data my way.
